She can remake herself if she desires, try on different aspects to her developing identity or simply express and expand those characteristics and behaviors which serve her well.
During activity times, she will gain specific outdoor living and athletic skills many of which may become something that she carries on into her later years. Living in a group of one’s peers provides opportunities for teachable moments that she cannot encounter at home.
Her relationship with her counselor is a new kind of relationship with an adult. Red Pine counselors understand their campers as individuals. The counselor helps, suggests, listens and guides her campers.
